I'd never heard that. I know he was hired by GM, went to the first day's orientation and never returned, yet talked about his "buddies in the shop" for decades thereafter.

Stephanopoulos arranged for him and Delay to debate health care on Stephanopoulos's show but Moore chickened out. Delay would have wiped the floor with him.
