Graph of deaths update: who.int = 10 deaths ..... Death rate

2003......4...x ........ 100%
2004....32...xxx ........ 75%
2005....42...xxxx ....... 40%
2006....80...xxxxxxxx ..... 69%
2007....51...xxxxx........66%

What a fizzer!! It seems to be going the way of sars [though a LOT more slowly]. Indonesia is getting most of the cases now [35 deaths in 2007]. Maybe this is a sign to militant Islam that Allah is NOT happy about bombings in Bali, mass murder in East Timor etc. There was the tsunami too! Look out for BIG volcanoes! Krakatoa!! Tambora!!! That's a triple exclamation mark catastrophe.

<Maybe 2006 was the peak and so many birds are now dead or immune that H5N1 is losing a place to roost, so to speak, and is fizzling out to a low-level less virulent beast>.

With a death rate of 2:3 it's still very fatal. influenza/country/cases_table_2007_12_18/en/index.html
