Argument is the nature of the dialog that comes out on political discussion boards like SI. I participate when I feel someone has made a statement that is demonstrably wrong. Like fundamentalist Christians, fundamentalist economists will trot out their favorite economic arguments over and over again, ignoring the fact that their ideas are in fact beliefs not facts. Each of your questions raises one of these economic articles of faith. And the fact that they still cling to arguments that can be shown to be based on faulty methodology shows they are not truth based, they are biased. A case in point is the often trotted out article of faith that the media is liberal.
