I have my escape route all picked out.

Traveling money stashed in safe houses and well paid associates to ease the passage. At the other end, a stable community with the ability to live very well off the land in a place no one cares about.

When the madness begins to seek... seek... well, anybody, hopefully they just won't know about me.

The Italian verb for keeping quiet is Tacere.

From Washington: The thing doesn't look collapsible here, TJ! Passed Home land security flawlessly! I keep looking outside the house and there are no suspecting black vans parked in the neighborhood either. You know the van with the listening devices paraphernalia inside.

Even pistachios passed without even opening the suitcase. Will report more later from the den of the wolf.

Will meet CB July first.

Remember that about 1/3 of homeowners don't have a mortgage.

Another 1/3 have old mortgages, considerable equity, and a monthly payment that is considerably lower than equivalent rent, or unemployment payments, or disability payments, or social security...lots of people have mortgages under $700 a month...
which can be covered, after tax, at minimum wage.

Then we have everybody else, including me, where the mortgage payments are significant.

A certain slice of the "middle class" will be hurt in this debacle.

In contrast, the hedge fund sharpies are at the wrong end of the leverage whip.

Prediction: Lots of big houses for sale in the Hamptons, Greenwich, Connecticut, East side of Manhattan, etc.
