This is the email I sent my congress people. Not a great letter but they are not worth impressing with my literacy. ************************************************************ To: Ms. Maria Cantwell, Ms. Patty Murray, Mr. James McDermott and the Democratic Party Last fall, I gave considerable amount of money to candidates from the Democratic party, a first for me, with the expectation that the Democrats would turn things around in Washington. By turning things around, I mean stopping the war in Iraq, securing our southern border and deporting those people violating our laws, and reducing Congressional pork spending. Frankly, in the six months you all have been in office there has been little progress on any of those fronts. First the Iraq war........a senseless war instigated by an incompetent president for the weakest of reasons. Americans are dying in that war; and when they are not dying, they are coming back with missing arms, legs and suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. And if that weren't bad enough........this country is well on its way to spending nearly a trillion dollars for that war when we can least afford it. To make a bad situation worse.......after 4 years and God knows how much money spent, the Iraqi army still can't do what its supposed to do. With that as a backdrop, stopping this war is a no brainer. And yet, you allowed Mr. Bush to intimidate you and back down from that position. Are you that afraid? Secondly, this country is being seriously hurt by illegal immigration. It is bad enough that illegals are earning money and sending it back to their home country, using our service facilities.......often free of charge, clogging our schools with children who can't speak English, taking jobs away from Americans......yes, there is work illegals do that many Americans would jump at in a flash but not at the wages paid by unscrupulous employers to illegals, and committing crimes in this country. So what does the Democratic party do.....it wants to give amnesty to 12 million illegals. Why? Because it would be good for the party: its well know that with the exception of Cubanos most Latinos vote Democratic. Its all about the party and not this country. And then we have some of your fellow democrats talking Aztlan and retaking the Southwestern US.....listen carefully to their rhetoric: youtube.com Do you really think those of us who are reasonable Americans will continue to support a party that harbors members who are talking virtual treason? And don't get me started on your latest spending bill. Frankly, if you want more more of my money to support your party and your candidacies, then I suggest you 'walk the walk' and start doing for what you were elected into office. Otherwise, I think you may see a huge reckoning come 2008.
