I totally agree. Why maim yourself so severely. It sounds like the surgeon was removing most of his face. Some people might make that choice and that's a personal decision, but I doubt I would do it.

Glad your Dad seems to be so relaxed and you two are still enjoying each other's company. My husband and his Dad go at each other frequently.............his Dad just turned 92 and is an ornery old Italian!

Recently, I heard that all elderly men would have some form or another of prostrate cancer if everyone was autopsied at death.

Lots more research is needed for prostrate cancer so the disease can be better understood.
