The diabetes is most likely a result of our diets and increased obesity.

The cancer is probably caused by a wide range of things........maybe multiple causes. No one is certain as many cancers are generated in patients that are not in any of the at risk groups.

I do think that our bodies are taxed by all the additional pollutants that exist in our foods and in our environment.

Often, I think about spending so many hours each week in a car on a freeway and the subsequent increase in exhaust fumes I breathe in during those commute hours.

When I was just out of college and poor I lived with three other women.. Since I love to cook I did the cooking and
we shared expenses. I did not have to do clean up....SMILE.

One of the woman was annoying. She would be quiet all the time, at the table.. but then when she got on the phone you would think she was a different person. I got so annoyed and
really upset about her and of course had to eat with her silence all the time plus she never liked anything I prepared. .. Now, later looking back I realize my Dad did this.

However, every time I went to the Dr. I tested high for
sugar and would have to take the glucose tolerance test and
another one... All would come back negative.

One Dr. said to me, Mary Lou are you under any stress and I thought about my constant aggravation. Yes, I said. Well he informed me that when under stress the glands of langerhorn
produce insulin or something that produces adrenaline and
that is possibly why you have a high sugar reading.

After a few years we all went different directions. No more high sugar readings until a physical last week and now I have to go back for a fasting blood test. That was in 1960.....
