Hillary is already known 100% by voters. There is nothing new to learn. ALl the old trash the rightwing flung at her husband will not change a single vote. Hillary may be polarizing, but she's also capable of polarizing over 50% of the people in her favor. If nominated she should also do well in like Ohio, which no Repub can win without, and she will probably take Arkansas. States like Wisconsin, Minnesota, Pennsylvania etc are now solidly in the Dem corner. She may lose states like Virginia and Colorado though.

All that said, Obama is actually the stronger candidate right now amongst the Dem primary voters, and Gore would have it all he if he decided he wants it. In all probability Gore is waiting to see if Hillary stumbles. If Hillary does, Gore would probably enter and make Obama or Richardson his VP. ALl these tickets can beat anything the GOP has now. And don't expect for a second that Guiliani will carry any blue states. He will just make it closer that's all.
