I love the Bear Flag Republic. We have our own foreign policy.
It helps that he represents an economy roughly the same size that they do. He's actually doing a pretty good job on energy/environment. I think cousin-in-law RFK Jr. has been pretty influential. And actually, this is a good role for him. He can get macho swagger and challenge Detroit as Girly Guys, he can do in your face "My state will cut more than your state" talk and not only get away with it, but get "Oh yeah, Roid Boy? You think so? Watch us". And that is good :>) And he carries the clout of a state that has been way out in front on this for years; since the '73 oil crisis, or even earlier with auto emission standards.

One thing he still hasn't done is recognize a role for hemp. He vetoed the bill last time, but there is a new one. Maybe this time.
There is an energy meeting in town tonight. I think the county plan. I'm gonna try to go, maybe with some of the kids.

I'm off to bed.

Later.
