that is just staggering

i would expect that a state of emergency will be declared

and i am assuming it has been extremely dry and lots of underbrush fueling the fire...

this is just heartbreaking....

again, though, i can't say enough how relieved i am that the family made out safely

Update 11:30 a.m.: South Tahoe High School on fire

I graduated from this high school in 1981. Truly a beautiful campus at the top of a hill and nestled amongst the trees.

The high school is on the edge of the neighborhoods at gardner mountain. this is not a good thing.
