I have to watch out in my car as well. I have an Infiniti G35 coupe (sort of like a Z with small back seats, a bit of extra weight, and different styling).

But even without a performance car, its easy to reach levels that are supposed to be "reckless". My roommate has to watch it sometimes in her beat up '96 Civic, and I certainly did in my previous car (a '95 V6 Ford Contour).

But the car I've driven fastest in was the least stable at speed. An old '76 Plymouth that was my first car. I got to just under 100 in it when I was about 20. Higher speeds that that would be safer in my G35, and wouldn't have seemed as fast. I probably would have gotten in a lot of trouble with cops if I had the Infiniti or your Z3 back then.
