ManyMoose;

The people you are talking about want to destroy an entire economy and way of life in order to achieve their self-righteous objectives,

Bull!

The type of people you are talking about are the Teddy Roosevelts of today. They most certainly DO NOT want to destroy the timber economy but wanted to bring some sanity to the tax payer subsidized logging of national forest lands. There are exceptions of course, but for the most part were hunters and fishermen and just plain people with a view towards tomorrow.

Had the timber industry logged at a sustainable rate, the people making their living in the forest would have been able to log forever. It was the pathetic greed of the timber industry sucking from the tit of the pork barrel tax payer that was the destruction of an industry in some areas.

Your arguments are just a continuation of the worn out industry support pack of lies. We haven't ran out of lumber have we? Even though we just went through the biggest housing explosion in our history.

Mary is right on this one!
