Well, that's very interesting about the plant size increasing and also the oils becoming more potent. I've been hiking in the woods for many years, and I can't believe how big the poison ivy is now compared to what I remember as a kid. Along some of the trails that I regularly hike, the poison ivy is reaching mammoth proportions - and there is a lot of it -- all over the place in woods where I never saw it before. Also, it does seem to be more potent. For most of my life, I've been somewhat immune to it. I could usually brush past it, or wade a bit into it and have no problems so long as I washed up well when I got home. Not anymore. I've had numerous rashes on my ankles and wrists the past couple of years and I've actually been making a conscious effort to avoid contact with the plants. Guess I wasn't just imagining some of these differences.
