Gout is too painful to be "solved" by diet. This reminds me of an old Medical Resident "pearl" -- If you walk into the Emergency Room, and a middle aged man sitting there looks up at you as you walk over, and promptly pulls his foot back and hides it under the chair - this man has Gout - until proven otherwise.

I've seen this happen many times... g/ng

Those things can hurt... later on it's OK to try diet, but not when it's acute.
