A setback for MaCain-Feingold IS deciding in favor of free speech. I could see you interpreting it that way.........but the increased free speech is from corporations. A true democracy is made up of individuals, not corporations. What benefits corporations doesn't necessarily benefit individuals. It could have been worse had Roberts and Alito had sided with Scalia and Thomas. Its sad...the most important court of the land should be more progressive than conservative in order to help provide a blueprint/direction for the future.
