Sure they do; they were talking about since the 80's. Things like Polio were cured before the 80's.

OK, maybe they where talking about since the 80s, but I am talking about a longer period of time. In any case since the 80s the same factors I mentioned still apply, just to a lesser degree.

re: Obesity is primarily due to the decisions and actions of individuals as they live their lives. It isn't created by any medical system.

But the health system can help prevent it.


Health care workers can try to influence people to eat less or exercise more, but they do that already. Other than that there isn't much they can do. Its a lifestyle issue with an health impact far more than it is an issue of how good the health care system is.
