MY FIL has one of those pacemakers. He says it makes him feel bad and "It's the dumbest thing I ever done."

FIL has had this one for 15 years. A few months ago, it started giving him a "tingle" (shocking him) when he leaned over. He got the doctor to check and the doctor's answer? "Don't lean over"!!! Evidently it was a warning about the lead coming loose...a warning that was ignored.

Specialist said it had to be replaced and FIL said "I want my energy back. Do it". So, done deal. We go tomorrow afternoon to find out "how soon". That whole "they ain't touching me" thang flew right out the window after he'd had a few days of the ticker working as it's supposed to.

I think he thinks it was the "smartest" thing he's done!!
