Have you been reading the series of articles from the Wash Post on Cheney? Unbelievable. It sure looks like about 80% of the real shit from this admin originated on his desk.

Cheney supplied the horrid policy and Bush supplied the incompetence. What a pair.

Conservatives were terrified of the Communists in the thirties. They were afraid that Communism's central planning would actually WORK. Fascism seemed a way to have that, without losing the unequal, class-based system they were used to.
