We invaded because there were occupiers (in Normandy), right?

Are you aware Kuwait was occupied?

We had to invade to dispel Saddam's occupying force. I didn't say we invaded to kick out the Kuwaitis, but we most certainly invaded, as a conquering force, to kick out the occupying Iraqis.

Fool.

You guys always jump to stupid conclusions, assuming everyone else is as stupid as you are. Not always the case. I chose my words carefully.

"So yes, in that instance we did invade Normandy in the technical sense. "
ROFL
I'm sure all the military guys who planned it, and the history writers who write about, are all breathing a sigh of relief that it's "technically" ok for them to use that term.
