I live in Boone NC a very Conservative town for six months of the year. The local radio station and the only ONE obtainable
at certain periods of time, other than at night when Charlotte
radio comes through ... said this today... in commenting
on the recent cry for media equality..

Edwards is on his soap box again saying that the Democrats need more air time... That this is only FAIR since most
of the airways are controlled by Limbaugh,Medved,Hannity,
O'Reilly, Drudge ( and about 10 others whom I can get at night
after 11 pm... on stations across the East such as Cleveland,
Chicago,St. Louis,Nashville etc) and he supports this Bill.

Well our commentator here said, this is an UNFAIR bill and you out there in radio land should know it.. The press is all liberal and the only thing the Republicans have is Rush Limbaugh who is the most popular radio host in the Country.

He made it sound so all one sided whereas I have been
purporting for years that the radio is all right wing. Some hosts more so than others but the distortions that I hear when I listen and I do are so outlandish as to be funny.

It's just like reading today on a right wing thread how
the right interprets what Ann Coulter had to say. They see her
as a counter to Bill Maher and all seem to forget that Bill is
on Premium TV and can be chosen by subscription only.

How one compares with the other is some kind of reasoning I
cannot fathom. I try to be fair but again FAIR is fair and
there are big inconsistencies in the way I hear the right wing
purport their views... Distortions on just about everything.

>>Guiliani is clearly going after the right wing fear mongering and hate voting block. This is a passionate group (Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, etc). They have devoted following. Karl Rove was very successful using this block to get Bush elected.

There is nothing equivalent to this group on the left that is this well organised, passionate, and effective.

To paraphrase Theresa Heinz, we could be in for four more years of hell.<<

Mary -

I agree with your premise, but I'm hoping the conclusion if off. I don't think there are enough people left in the right-wing fear and hate group to elect a president.
