JF, here's the problem with the whole political discussion on faith and religion. Both sides see government as the solution to their problems with religion, whether it's too much or too little. The problem I have with the left is that they think "freedom OF religion" means "freedom FROM religion," so they'll demand laws restricting free exercise of religion, which is bogus. The problem I have with the right is that all too often, they use faith as a political football just to win votes. Theologically, that leaves them in a very precarious position considering that politics is often a dirty game. Using the name of God in such a dirty game is just asking for trouble, both in this life and the next. Tenchusatsu
