re: I doubt it. It's not like there's a lot for them there. I've read they have a lower unemployment rate than we do. Listen, I'm for immigration... it's the heart of this country. But it has to be controlled. You can't just dump 12 million low skilled workers to compete with your citizens for low wage jobs. It's probably a large part of the reason FOR the demise of the unions over the last 20 years. Unlimited supply of non-union workers so strikes have no economic bite. Somehow we have to get back to square one. Then we can liberalize the immigration laws... but with legals. And the "guest worker" idea is the worst.
