At 100 million plus per vehicle, it's incredibly costly.

Money means nothing to DOD. There is no profit motive for DOD anywhere in military acquisition programs.

The generals supervising new product development ask us to be patient. They went to the same school as those generals who (in 5 years) have spent $500 Billion and thousands of troops lives on nothing and continue to ask us to be patient while they do more of the same.
