You haven't established any cherry picking at all. You just made the charge to have an excuse to reject the finding. Why not have a study of the owners of news outlets? I would bet that they could be demonstrated to be mainly conservative. You'd be wrong. The Sulzberger family (NY Times) is liberal Democrat. So is So is Sumner Redstone(Viacom,CBS, WM, UPN, etc.). Most media outlets though don't have a single owner or even a family that owns them. If you look at top management, you generally see people that are identifiable as liberal. No surprise. That fits with everything else we know.
