Re: "...say that ...is a bumper sticker"

Maybe that's just a FOXy NEWS-ish shorthand way of saying that the attempt at a global campaign has been INCOMPETENTLY PURSUED, and has set us FURTHER from achieving our long-term strategic goals then we were before?

(That's what I took the slogan to mean... and that's what I believe most any objective observer might conclude.)

I have no doubt that there are many extremist views in the Muslim that wish the west nothing but harm.

But how effective have they been? So what if some taxi driver driving around Sh%tholesville, The Middle East, has some vague notion that the west is the land of Satan?

I think we should should focus on prevention and otherwise get on with our lives.

If a guy is named Abdul and he's coming to the States from Pakistan we should look far up his rectum. However I think it is almost criminal the way we frighten and alarm our citizens otherwise.

Michelle Malkin is in a frenzy because some lame brain filled up a car with a $100 worth of gas and drove into the entrance of an airport hurting no one. Boy for such a stupid act that guy is sure getting the reaction he craved. Thanks to Malkin types people all over, 1000's of miles from Glasgow, are scared sh%tless.

Remember we are the ones with 10,000 nuclear weapons and multi carrier battle fleets- why do we have our panties in such a bunch over a bunch morons who don't appear to able to shoot straight? What in the Hell???? have we wrought in Iraq????

A favorite argument is to compare the Taliban to the Nazis but thats totally bogus in my view. The Nazis at their zenith had the most powerful Armed Forces in the World and they were intent on using them. Most extremist Muslims are a disorganized bunch of crazy rag-heads yelling Allah! and running around with rocket propelled grenades on the other side of the world. Its our bad judgment that has placed so many of our worthy and unfortunate young people in their sights in Iraq.

The unfortunate thing is that Osam Bin Laden has succeed beyond his wildest dreams by getting us to take the bait and abandon our values that have made us great. We're mired in a multi-trillion $$$ war that just might undo our economy yet, the government has betrayed out liberal traditions by by spying on its own citizens - including reporters and abandoning such fundamental pillars of our society such as habeas-corpus. Abu-Garhib and Guantanamo are the results of our leadership since Bin Laden struck. Bush has managed to lower the world's opinion of Americans in spite of 9/11 - some accomplishment.

I think we need to fight with more brains and less knee jerk, fear/emotional reaction because that is what terrorism seeks as a reaction.
