I think some of that anti islamic thing is a bit like one of those doctor terrorists under armed guard in Alexandria Hospital, Paisley right now.... cooked up and a bit over done. -g-

Sure, some of that stuff is probably true, but the incest, female bashing, and general violence is probably the same as with the general population.

The intelligence gathering and pursuit of the culprits passed through the community like a tsunami shock wave. Hardly noticeable, very fast and devastating when converging on the quarry.

It's my view that the lack of prejudice will be the strongest armament against religious and racial intolerance (or terrorism) in our society. The police did a very good job in that respect.

It went something like this. Everyone was receiving innocent like mobile phone calls to so and so, or check with this and that, and then it all went quiet again. Next think anyone knew the truck crashed into the airport and I bet the police chasing them were not far behind.

The upshot is, if you are a terrorist and drop your cover even in the slightest way, the intelligence and information gathering machine will track you down before you know what has hit you.

That's comforting to know.

It just a matter to find out why some Iraqi doctors based in the UK decided to try and take lives instead of save them.

Thankfully it was a clearly an amateur effort. Any real knowledge on behalf of the terrorists and the death toll could have been very high.
