I don't understand your post. So I won't comment directly on it but rather try to refocus. It seems to me the questions for you are two: Do you think that Gibson didn't say what he was quoted as saying? Do you think that Gibson's statement isn't racist? That's all there is to it. Seems to me that he must have said it. There was a flap over his saying it but no denial from any quarter. As for it being racist, it's textbook racism. If we can remember what got us into this, it was your amazement that anyone could think that there was a racist thread running through the opposition to the immigration legislation and your demand for proof from the accusers. In a recent discussion on this thread, one during which you were absent, someone asked me why I kept repeating so much? Did I think that people didn't get what I was saying? Well, yeah. But I appreciate and share the limited tolerance for repetition so I'm not going to explain my contribution again.
