Rates are the key to successful carry. They paying to lend
silver, to never see it back. Even I would short it. What a

No way gold is going down if we see Yen spike. We've seen that
in 1999 - a nice 3-day 30% gain for gold.



Now, here is gold in 1987



Not so good, considering the scale of the dollar decline.
It declined in other currencies. It did not do a thing
when stocks crashed, but Gold equities crashed
with the market. Note that the dollar declined from about
160 to 85, so this was actually the end of that decline,
and gold was just in the beginning of the secular bear market.
I think that has ended. -g-
