I can't speak for the dems. I would prefer a republican win the White House next year. I don't think that is going to happen for a variety of reasons. Today's actions will be one more stumbling block with a large segment of American independents who may have wished Clinton ill or good but will look at Scooter and see only the rich protecting the rich, the privileged protecting the privileged. JMHO. Even Paris Hilton and Li'l Kim had to do some time.
