This article should be mandatory reading for every liberal: Message 23672187 ..... I remember how we used to laugh in celebration whenever people on TV proclaimed that the sole cause for Islamic acts of terror like 9/11, the Madrid bombings and 7/7 was Western foreign policy. By blaming the Government for our actions, those who pushed this "Blair's bombs" line did our propaganda work for us. More important, they also helped to draw away any critical examination from the real engine of our violence: Islamic theology. .....

Bush-Cheney are the ones aiding our enemies. Creating new enemies mostly actually. Iran was moderating in 2001-2002 and wanted to be friends. Bush-Cheney erased that. Bush-Cheney prmised a "roadmap to peace" but instead created a situation where Hamas took over Palestine. Same with Hezbollah in Lebanon. They allowed both Al Qaida and the Taliban to regroup and strengthen. They have totally alienated many of our cloest allies. They have decimated our military. All our enemies combined couldn't have done this much damage to the USA and our interests than two men, Bush and Cheney. Don't ignore the factual results. forget the spin and rightwing loyalty. You have been backing criminal traitors.
