J6P, if somebody comes up to me and starts screeching really loudly at me and I am minding my own business, they would be likely to experience self-defence if they didn't leave me alone.

Free speech is not assault with sound as a weapon, it is communication to willing recipients. If I am not willing to hear a message, the sender can get lost. Sound is energy and moving bullets are energy. Just different forms and different intensities. Each can do harm. Sound can deafen and really loud sound can crush rib cages and skulls.

It's not a matter of a police state.
