Hi Mike,
Found your thoughts interesting (go figure, ggg). Thought I'd
just comment that I was surprised that you didn't review Tangueray. Surprised, because to my palette, it is the most interesting and desirable of the Gins.
Also, a quick comment on Johnny Walker Red Label. I stepped back from the single malt wagon, after concluding that it was either too expensive or too much of a crap shoot and have settled comfortably on JW Red on the rocks as my fav. Scotch. FWIW.
Happy fireworks day.
Lew

Mike,

If you fancy botanicals then you may want to give Rogue's gin a shot. Rogue's a brewery in Oregon that just got into spirits. Might be tough to find in Texas, but worth it if you're able.

Ever try Tullamore Dew (Irish whiskey)?

Best,
Doug

Mike,

Had a fish-fry last week and mixed up some Mai-Tai's in a gatorade 5 gal cooler using a couple Sailor Jerry (rum) 1.75's. It's a little higher proof - great for that application and at $18.99/1.75L/92 proof, a good value. The label on the mixer claimed the drink was invented near your old stomping grounds (oakland). The resemblance to ghetto punch apparently not a coincidence.

JOF & IGR looking beat down right about now. Would you be a buyin' here?

Try that Rogue booze yet?

Best,
Doug
