Im fearing an Obama regime driven suicidal by the pathetic communists of the radical left.

My point is that Saudia Arabia has the upper hand, they can wield a powerful weapon if we threaten to leave Iraq in a situation that threatens their interests. SA wont let us commit suicide by leaving Iraq unstable.

Buddies, the relationship is more like one between a drug dealer and junkie.

Your proposed leverage on SA is absurd as a response to SA reducing production to raise prices and force us to do something we may not want to do (Like make sure the Sunni's have a equal face in the Iraqi government.)

I was also responding to the frequent believe by many that these countries have to pump oil. The present situation in Venezuela, Nigeria, Iraq, Saudia Arabia proves otherwise. They can pump less and make much more money.

Pumping less requires less investment and brings in much higher revenues. Perhaps the next 50% rise in prices will bring a demand response, but demand growth is still solid after rising to the average price we have had for the last year.
