Global financial forces care not about national boundaries, in fact they're busily eliminating anything (like a security fence) that might slow down commerce throughout the world. Of course, those controlling global companies can take refuge on their private islands; while the teeming masses contend with the demise of their national identities and cultures. All for the sake of increasing bottom-line profits for humungous companies competing in global markets, who have completely lost any loyalty to their particular country of origin.
