I heard on the radio yesterday that we'll soon be able to buy this model:

For around 13k under the Chrysler brand. Supposedly it compares very favorably to other small Asian SUV's, but is much cheaper. How are they doing it?

They ship the partially assembled vehicles to Mexico, where they are completed. Then, under NAFTA, they enter this country duty free.

I read the article about Chrysler selling Chinese imports a day or so ago.
