My point is valid. First of all I am not denying the studies as far as what they measured. Nor am I denying that much of the media has a liberal bias.

I am challenging when someone throws out a number like "Media personnel are 90% liberal" which was done here recently. The first fault in that is that there was no provided substantiation to establish that the the entire media personnel is 90% liberal. Every study presented was of a very thin slice of a sector of media personnel. There is no reason to believe that the same result would hold true to a larger target. Indeed the one study that had a larger target showed only a 60% slanting of media personnel. Not a 90%. So already my conclusion that 90% is wrong is established by that larger study.

The second fault is to assume without proof that any personal bias on the part of media personnel is going to affect the content of the media. This may sound like common sense but it cannot be taken as a given. There are other factors like editorial policy, the fact of bias of ownership, and the pressures put on content by sponsors or advertisers in the particular media. All of which are going to have a large, arguably larger effect on the content than the bias of "media personnel", even if it could be established that "media personnel were 90% liberal".

So here you are challenging me instead of challenging 1) the unsupported assertion that media personnel is 90% liberal, or 2)the unsupported conclusion that even if there is a slight liberal bias in media personnel that automatically that would result in a liberal media bias without consideration of other factors that affect the content of the media.

Everything I have presented is reasonable. You have not established your point. Nor apparently have you properly heard mine.
