Don some people read what they want to help prove their point of illegal stops etc. I haven't read about too many conservative judges in lower courts.. i expect their was more than enough evidence to hold up the arrest through the court system.

You're right, of course. The article gives just enough information to fuel outrage, without presenting everything the courts considered on the way through the appealate process.

I guess a lot depends on our individual presumptions. I'm usually half-cocked to the "the-cops-are-wrong" position, and I admit it. Others are half cocked to the "cops-are-always-right" position. Each group gets just enough examples to affirm their position, reinforcing it for the next questionable example.
