This is the chimera chant of the Greens. The cry for a command economy. We will become "less dependent on oil" when forced to by it's price. And it's obvious that won't happen until decades from now. All the methods you propose and Congress deposes are Billion dollar boondoggles that just distort the market, and our economy. Why not address the point I was making about a falling US dollar? All of the arguments are meaningless if you don't view these things in a world view. Did you miss that I agree with you on ethanol? After all it is Bush and Congress who are throwing money at ethanol - not me. So don't lump me with Bush. Your disagreement is with the green green Bush more than I. When you dismiss everyone outside of your narrow view as ...."green".....you fail to understand my view and the points I am making. steve
