There are other variables of course, but in the main it's as I described. It's not so complex that you have to invoke an intelligent designer.

Where did that come from? The climate, the water vapor cycle, carbon cycle, etc is incredibly complex though and thinking about it simplistically is a mistake.

The scientists of every country in the world agree that CO2 is the major problem that we face

That just isn't true.

In the simple experiment I described for you in which we increase CO2 concentration in the atmosphere while exposing it to a simulated sun, I asked if you thought the temperature would rise?

I don't recall you mentioning a simple thought experiment like that. Simple thought experiments aren't sufficient for complex things.

Remember I told you that CO2 is more thermal insulating than air.

No. I don't remember that. I would have asked you what "air" is to you. CO2 is part of our "air". Yes, CO2 is a greenhouse gas and therefore is thermal insulating for the earth as a whole. Other things are too - water vapor, methane, nitrous oxide, etc.

re:"Did you know that times as warm as we enjoy now have been very rare over the last couple million years? Over the long haul, warming will not be the climate danger we face."

That's the very point.....the earth's warming is happening because the CO2 concentration has been increasing rapidly as we continue to increase the amount of fossil fuels we burn.

Which side are you arguing?
