The dollar has contributed but the move up in oil is much bigger than the movement in the dollar.

From 20 to 70 is 3.5 times.

Compare the dollar to say the Euro, from late 2002 to now its gone from about $1 to about $1.36. Nowhere as big an increase. Oil is 70 not 27.
