It is a family problem as well as in this area a societal problem.

As you know I live in No. Va. and have for some time and raised my family here; hence I know the area well.

The bottom line is that parents must be involved in what is happening with their young people here---------if parents are not available for their children on a regular daily basis Gore's son is what they get.

And, even if they are available, it takes every ounce of prevention to assure that a teanager moves into adulthood as mostly a whole person.

Many don't make it because of the drug culture illegal and legal in this area---------deadly car crashes are the norm as are suicides amongst the young people.

The peer pressure in the teen culture to take risks is phenomenal in this area. And, it exists regardless of economic status. Once a young person's mind is screwed up with the illegal drugs---------the next step is usually the psych units of the hospitals-------or a psych. office. Then the legals get added on top of the illegal drugs.
