Pete, sorry, I'm tired discussing this any further. It should
be clear to everyone, that the 5365 is just around the corner
also officially and it should be clear too, that we have to
wait for final K10 numbers. For me its now boring to discuss
2G, 2,3G or 2,6G estimated/simulated numbers from AMD. I'm
sure, we will get the numbers at the TECH day at the end of
july at the latest.

What´s the evidence for excessive power consumption by Apple´s octacore 3.GHz monster? Further, according to barefeats.com there are no internal differences between the quad- and the octacore Mac Pro´s except for the CPUs themselves. Hence, your idea of super cooling needed to run the octacore Mac Pro seems freely invented.
