There is the "supported over-clock" scenario. But there is also the scenario (freely invented by me), and considered more likely (also by me), that the G0 stepping, having been done on a limited risk-lot basis (initiall), worked well enough, right from the start, to supply a preferred customer ?

The G0 was officially announced about 2 months ago. Which is exactly the tie when Apple started to offer the 3.0 GHz system.

Athlon X2 6000+ at high TDP and higher voltage. Lay whatever label you want to on it. I won't even look at a 89W part let alone the higher wattage parts now that 65, 45, and other lower TDP parts are so common.
