That's a good story about your daughter. It's great to have that kind of help available.

.in europe doctors offices do not need clericle staff.....i have seen doctor offices in america where secretaries filling in insurance forms out number the nurses and doctors.

I think that's standard practice in the US now.

We have a dental plan and a medical plan. If we have certain types of dental care, the dental office submits the bill to the dental plan, if it's "expensive" the dental plan boots it back to the dentist and tells them to submit it to the health plan. When the health plan rejects it because it's "dental", they resubmit it to the dental plan, noting that the health plan rejected it and the dental plan pays it. Occasionally, the health plan screws up and pays it; which is what the dental plan is hoping for, i.e., a newbie at the medical plan that makes a mistake.

Now, that's efficiency!

Before I signed up for the dental plan, I called the dentist's office and asked the billing administrator which dental plan had the least "problems"... and I got that one!
