I'll take you to the Hale Koa for a tour. Oh yeah. When I first came over, I danced every Tuesday at the Warrior bar. Then 911, and civilians had one hell of a time getting in. They finally issued the regulars like me passes. Yet this week he is quoted as saying he was brought up on military bases as an Army brat. Can't figure why he would say that. Doesn't make sense for him to invent this, but the Wikis on Tiger and Earl bear out my version. But now I see that the quotes I read were wrong or I misheard. He was talking about playing the military Golf courses in the LA area as a Brat. That makes sense. I would be interested to read what route Earl took to Major. I assume he got into OCS out of basic. When we both went in the Army in 53 it was still very segregated in spite of Truman's order. The Transportation companies in Baumholder were all black. We had about 10 blacks in my Ordnance company.
