Its not the same thing at all. During the course of his study, MM saw first hand how extra weight can lead to serious illness. That prompted him to lose the weight.

Al Gore's renovations are simply bringing his beliefs into practice. And for the record, the physical changes he is making to his estate in TN have been in the planning stages for several years.
