Gee, have YOU REALLY FORGOTTEN all the liberals screaming yelling that the world was coming to an end and it was all Bush's fault (conveniently forgetting Clinton's economic and budgetary mismanagement created the bubble that burst for Bush to inherit). Just ask Lizzie. She was leader of the chorus.

re: The competition is coming. If THEY can do it, so can OTHERS.

Hope so.

Oh, they will. If high capacity cheap batteries can be developed with technology available now and a few years from now.

But if they do, that $90K price tag will be just albatross about their necks. The competition will eat them alive.

The 1st autos had price tags (in currency value then) like that. They were called "rich man's toys" for only the rich could afford them. Then Henry Ford figured out how to apply the already-existing production line methods to auto building and built them cheaply and sold 10's of millions. And almost all of the many auto builders before him went under. A few were bought by Ford or what would become GM.

But have it your way and buy stock in a potential bankrupt company. It's not my money.

I hope electric cars make a comeback too (they were among the 1st autos). There are lots of ways of generating electricity. I look forward to the day when the Arabs have to learn to eat sand.
