"The only "fit genes" in our society are those who know how to screw over those who know how to study and make money?"

Screwing and procreating are all genes are about. Studying and making money serves their purpose not at all, unless it leads to more screwing and procreating!

So, the studious, high earning nerd is not selected for. What's a gene going to do with money or education?

re: You said it yourself, Chris. It's counterintuitive when you consider that the rich and well-educated are not procreating, but the poor and not-so-well-educated are.

Evolution doesn't presume progress for every species. Lots of species just die off. Maybe we're starting down that path. Or maybe your God decided "This species got too smart for it's own good" and is dumbing us down.

Our society isn't organized on Darwinian principles. So this statement is really meaningless.
