That's true.... Natural gas (CH4),when burned, produces 2 molecules of H20 and one molecule of CO2. For example...
CH4 + 2O2 = CO2 + 2H2O.

Heptane, essentially gasoline when burned, is described like this:

C7H16 + 11 O2 = 7 CO2 + 8 H2O or about 50% of each.
