We had the run off election yesterday (to break the tie breaker from April.) Our precincts final tally was 66-64. I haven't even looked online to see if the other precincts were that close; but assuming there wasn't another tie! 12 hours...130 folks out of a precinct where 4000+ folks are registered to vote in this city election. 313 early voted. What is up with folks? They just don't know how hard won that right to vote was. Anyway...done till next year when we split the precinct into 3 and have 3 more elections; including the all important "biggie" of elections. (I think I'll "call in sick"!!) OH...and they are saying that we might have to get all new voting machines AGAIN! We just got these to meet the requirements for "disabled voters" and all the other stuff...now they want better "paper trails". <sigh> Some people...just can't please them! <steps off soapbox> :)
